Black celebrities with blue eyes
The eye color of a child is specific to its genetic material. Parents’ genes play a lot in the eyes of children. The iris is the colored part of the eye, its pigmentation determines the color of the eyes. The color of the human eye generally depends on three brown, green and blue genes. But, other colors exist, like gray, hazel and multiple combinations, which are still inexplicable.
There are black and mixed celebrities with sparkling blue eyes. It is a very rare phenomenon, but it deserves to be emphasized. It is clear that many people are not used to seeing blacks with beautiful blue eyes.

Scientific point of view.
- According to scientists at the University of Copenhagen, a single mutation of 6 – 10,000 years was responsible for all blue – eyed people living on earth today. Published in the journal Human Genetics, researchers identified a gene called OCA2 that appeared in the vicinity of the northwestern shores of the Black Sea in a single individual about 6-10,000 years ago.
- “Originally, we all had brown eyes,” said Professor Hans Eiberg of the University of Copenhagen, who led the team.
- Other researchers also say that, for example, in America, there are many blacks with European ancestry following colonization. Depending on the amount of European ancestry, it is possible that a black person is blue eyes.
- Others talk about Waardenburg syndrome. Waardenburg syndrome is an extremely rare genetic disorder, occurring on 1/270 000 births. People with this condition suffer from deafness (unilateral or bilateral) and have pigmentation abnormalities. For example, Waardenburg syndrome type I contains a clinical association with at least 2 major criteria or at least one major criterion and 2 minor criteria.

Also, there is ocular albinism, which is most commonly found in people of African heritage.
There are Africans in Africa that have blue eyes tribe full of them. We carry all the genes. You have to have a gene for blue. And they received that from two parents. Nothing to do with colonialism. They may have so in them but that is not necessarily the reason. Or everyone would have displayed that recessive gene.
