Van Dyke Beard | Black men

Inspired by the internationally acclaimed Flemish painter, Flemish Anthony Van Dyck, the Van Dyke is a combination of a well-kept mustache separated in the middle by a rather wide straight beard and pointed on the chin. The two are not connected. It should be emphasized that there are several styles of Van Dyke.

How to achieve it?
First, wait at least 4 weeks for your beard to be delivered.

• 1 / Start your Van Dyke by delimiting a pretty goatee.

Begin by pruning a goat by closely shaving the neck and sides of your face.
Then, shave vertically the sides of the goatee so that it forms a band of 3 to 5 cm wide (it should not exceed the width of the lower lip). You can start with a vertical band a little wider than what you might think it should be. Later, when growth has been achieved, you can refine the goatee if you prefer. Optionally, the lower part of the strip can be formed at one point.

Create a separation between the mustache and the goatee. Using a pair of scissors, carefully prune it on each side of your lips.
 With longer mustaches and a thinner beard, La Van Dyck becomes an imperial beard.
