Despite the coronavirus pandemic and protests against police violence, racial hatred is still prevalent. Today, an innocent father, who just wanted to stop an argument between two women, was arrested and shot dead in front of his children. But what is wrong with this world? Why this unjustified hatred against people of color?
But what happened?
On Sunday, August 23, 2020, a domestic conflict erupted in a neighboring house between two women in Kenosha, Wisconsin. Jacob Blake, a 29-year-old family man, intervened to help and stop the dispute between the women from escalating.
In a viral video on the Internet, Blake is seen walking to his car while at least three white cops follow him with guns.
Jacob Blake opened the door and leaned over. That’s when one of the police officers fired seven shots into the father’s back in front of his children, who were inside the car. It’s a surreal and horrible scene to watch. It should be pointed out that the father was not carrying any weapons.
He collapses instantly. His children are in tears and traumatized as they witness the scene where he watches a white police officer shoot their dads in the back, even though he hasn’t committed any crime.
Blake is in serious condition. He’s being rushed by plane to Froedtert Hospital in Milwaukee. It’s a miracle he’s still alive.
Riot in Kenosha town
Riots broke out in the night. Ketosha residents are outraged and sad. They gather and protest against police violence. “No justice, no peace,” residents demand justice for the father of the family. Others are protesting outside Kenosha police station.
Clashes are taking place between protestors and law enforcement.

Curfew imposed.
The situation has degenerated so badly that a curfew was enforced by the authorities until 7 a.m. Monday morning.
The governor of Wisconsin, Tony Evers, issued a statement denouncing the “excessive use of force” by the police.
