Inspiration : Sarah & Jehan’s traditional wedding

Afroculture.net takes you on a trip to South Africa. Today we will share about the sensational marriage of South African model and fashion icon Sarah and her entrepreneurial fiancé Jehan.

Traditional wedding

Firstly, the traditional wedding of Sarah and Jehan took place in Johannesburg, South Africa in 2016.  It was a colourful, elegant, modern traditional wedding with an Afro-chic touch with over 200 guests.

This wedding was organised by Wedding Concepts. With its well-chosen traditional decorations, it is a fusion of the two African cultures, Swazi and Zulu.

The chosen décor highlighted the beauty of Swazi and Zulu culture. There were glass beads, bright colours and hand woven baskets used as decorative pieces. Soft flowers and wooden elements in the unique King Proteas style. The table tops were personalised with a traditional African print in the centre.

Bride

The bride was dazzling. She wore two brightly coloured African couture dresses.

Sarah put on a beautiful Swazi wedding dress by South African fashion designer Tuelo Nguyuza made exclusively for the occasion.

She has accessorised her refined traditional outfit with daring necklaces and accessories made locally by the talented Pichulik.

Johan chose to wear a traditional white embroidered shirt with black trousers.

For her second dress, Sarah opted for an elegant Gert-Johan Coetzee crimson haute couture dress.

Sarah & Jehan: the beautiful bride and groom.

Lovers are chic and very elegant. Sarah is sensational with her brightly coloured haute couture dress and her husband has opted for a total black look with a traditional long-sleeved shirt embroidered in black and gold.
