Frank Morrisson: African-American Painter

Self-taught artist, born in Boston in 1971, Frank Morrisson began his career as a graffiti artist and break dancer of the entourage of Sugar Hill Gang. During a European tour, he visits the Louvre museum in Paris. Subjugated, intrigued, he decided to devote himself entirely to his painting and become an artist-painter.
His paintings revolve around the theme of music, dance, community, family and religion. When he paints, the parts of the body are exaggerated and constantly in motion.
