    1. In Suriname Josef Nassey’s Jewish father sent him to NY to further his education. Josef’s mother was an African slave. Josef Nassey married a Belgium woman who sold all his paintings to a Jewish buyer and now his work is in special collections of the Holocaust Museum in Washington, DC.
