Many rumors and speculations thought that the royal baby was going to be a girl. And to everyone’s surprise, on Monday, May 6th at 5:26 am, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are parents of a little boy.

On the couple’s Instagram, they posted the following message:

We are pleased to announce that their Royal Highnesses The Duke and Duchess of Sussex welcomed their firstborn child in the early morning on May 6th, 2019. Their Royal Highnesses’ weighs 7lbs. 3oz. The Duchess and the baby are both healthy and well-off, and the couple loves to share their excitement and support during this very special time in their lives.

By publishing this message on instagram, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex broke with the protocol. Meghan Markle gave birth in a private hospital to a little boy weighing 3,260 pounds. He is the eighth great-grandchild of Queen Elizabeth II, 93 years old. Meghan was supported all the way by her mother Doria Ragland and her husband. Happy, Prince Harry gave a video interview where he explains that his son and mom are in very good health.

“I am very excited to announce that Meghan and I had a baby boy this morning, a healthy boy. Mom and baby are doing well. This has been the most incredible experience I can imagine. How can women do what they do? We are both grateful and grateful for all the love and support of everyone. It was amazing.

Wednesday, May 8, 2019, Meghan and Harry presented the picture of their son on Instagram. Wow, we are happy for them. It’s a beautiful family.
